Manase Lua BA, MA (Hons); Governance; Management; Community Leader.
Manase has held Governance, Leadership and Management positions over the last twenty years. He is a husband, father, and respected Community Leader of Tongan heritage. Manase is possibly the only Tongan to wear the sacred Samoan markings or lagi malofie on his body in centuries. He was recently bestowed a matāpule title in the Kingdom of Tonga: Pakilau ‘o Aotearoa.
His community service includes: almost ten years in the public service working five years as an official at the Ministry of Pacific Island Affairs and almost five years as a project manager at the Disability Services Directorate of the Ministry of Health; over ten years in leadership and management roles in Pacific and mainstream NGO’s; governance positions on numerous boards and community groups.
