John Kiria for Mt Roskill

John is an experienced youth mentor advocate, assisting young Pacific people and families in the community and those caught up in the courts system. 

John is a cultural advisor and translator currently employed as a Whānau Ora Navigator with Mt Wellington Integrated Health Centre.

A renown kaiako kapahaka Cook Islands Māori, John founded and leads the acclaimed Te Anuanua Performing Arts Troupe. 

He has been a teacher of Cook Islands Māori cultural entertainment to generations of young people in New Zealand, who seek identity and who aspire to discover confidence and belonging.
