Esther Tofilau-Tevaga for Mangere

'O le ala i le pule o le tautua' translates in Samoan to 'The path to leadership is through service.'

Esther has held Leadership and Management positions over the last 20 years.

She is a respected Community Leader of Samoan heritage. Esther was bestowed a chief title named Tofilau, from the village of Iva in Savaii.

Her community service includes: Over 20 years of leadership and management roles in the Pacific and mainstream and have served in positions on numerous boards and community groups.

"I stand and bring strong leadership and new ideas in closing the inequalities for Māori and Pacific peoples that successive Governments have failed to do."
